Silverchair won five ARIAS (the Australian Grammy) on Sunday for its new album Young Modern, including the Album of the Year award. After opening the awards with a performance, the band proceeded to set a new record for the most career ARIAS won, according to a press release.
Does anyone else remember when these guys first came out? I went to see them as a kid and had the biggest crush on Daniel Johns, who I think was about 17 at the time.
